g-glove® High-Visibility Golf Club Grip Protector Promises Clean, Dry Grips : Distinctive Cover Protects Two Golf Club Grips from Moisture and Cours
wideRight LLC today introduces the g-glove®, an innovative new golf club grip protector that shields up to two grips from water, mud, sand, pesticides and other course debris during play. These contaminants affect the natural tackiness of club grips, making a consistent swing more difficult to achieve. The g-glove® waterproof elastomer cover quickly slides on and off, ensuring clean, dry grips regardless of course conditions. Available in a wide range of high-visibility colors, the g-glove® makes it easy to spot clubs laid on the course.
Exercises to Prevent Common Golf Injuries
To those who don't play, golf seems like a low impact sport. But golf provides a real physical workout and arm and lower back pain and injuries are common among golfers.
Fitness For Golf Isn't Just For The Pros
Fitness for golf is a common term on the television these days. I'm sure you've heard it a few times.
Las Vegas (PRWEB) July 8, 2008 -- The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort (The Paiute), an international golf destination composed of three Pete Dye original courses and proud member of the organization that promotes golf in Las Vegas (http://www.lasvegasgolfing.com/) and unites golf resorts known as The Las Vegas Golf Authority, will host its Second Annual Las Vegas Paiute Amateur Golf Classic Sunday, August 31 and Monday, September 1, 2008.
This Las Vegas golf (http://www.lasvegasgolfing.com/) competition will heat up as last year's players return to take on the 2007 winners of the men's gross division, Gary Carpendale; men's net division, Mike Goffiner; women's gross division, Kelly Holister; women's net winner, Jill Herbert; senior's gross division, Ben Herbert; and senior's net division, Mitch Taylor. Not just for the local Las Vegas golfer, the 50 players from the 2007 event ventured in from neighboring states Arizona and California, in addition to as far east as Ohio.
Head Golf Professional, Greg Wickensimer, states why this particular type of tournament caters to the avid golfer and attracts players from all over the United States, "The First Annual Amateur Golf Classic was unique in design because it was a two-day, 36-hole event based solely on individual stroke play. It's not your typical four plus hour shotgun scramble. This tournament tests the individual golfer in that it's just you against the course." He goes on to note that "based on 2007's high response, we expect the 2008 tournament to potentially double in size."
As 2007's first place champion in the men's gross division, Gary Carpendale, said "I look forward to playing again next year - first class courses and a first class event!"
This year's two-day amateur tournament will start on Sunday, August 31st and the finals will be on Monday, September 1st with the awards ceremony to follow immediately after play. The structure will be double Las Vegas golf tee times (http://www.lasvegasgolfing.com/layout9.asp?id=618&page=33546) from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on both days. Snow Mountain is the chosen 2008 course, which is the first of the trio, recognized with 4½ Stars by Golf Digest, known for its seven distinct water features, and hailed as having the best Par 3s on the property.
The 2008 tournament will again offer three flights each with both gross and net divisions: men, ages 18-49; women, ages 18 and over; and senior men, ages 50 and over. USGA handicaps are required. Twenty-five percent of the field will receive prizes.
The entry fees are $125 per person for the general public and $100 per person for Paiute Advantage Club Card (PACC) members and include greens fees, carts, and lunch on both days of play, Sunday and Monday. Practice rounds will be available on Saturday, August 30th, after 2:00 p.m. for $30 per person. Golfers wishing to participate must download and complete the sign-up and credit card authorization form at www.lvpaiutegolf.com. All entries will be accepted on a first come first serve basis for the first 96 paid participants and must be received by August 23.
